ORTE Mediterranean Vegetable Sugo originates in Baia dell’Orte, where the Mediterranean climate, the intense sun and the Adriatic breeze allow vegetables with a full, naturally balanced flavour to flourish. Peppers, aubergines and courgettes are harvested at perfect ripeness and processed within a few hours, together with our tomato passata, to preserve their aroma, texture and flavour. The recipe is completed with extra virgin olive oil and a select few ingredients, with no added preservatives. The result is a rich, authentic and versatile sugo that beautifully enhances pasta dishes, lasagne and traditional Mediterranean recipes.
